What I hate about the traditional media

Taegan Goodard writes:
Sen. John McCain's inability to tell a reporter how many home he owns became a major issue in the campaign last night, with segments on all three network news programs.

Chris Cilliza nails why it matters: "In politics, there is nothing worse than appearing out of touch."
In my perfect world, John McCain actually being out of touch, say with a ridiculous tax plan, would be what really mattered.

Thank you

In the wake of another negative, false McCain ad, I salute those in the traditional media who are pointing this out:
But when it comes to promises, it's worth pointing out that, according to the non-partisan Tax Policy Center's analysis of both candidates' proposed plans, Obama would cut taxes for those making in the range of $38,000 to $66,000 three to almost eight times more than McCain would.
If only others would follow this lead.

Job Killing Machine

So, I see the oppositions is going to portray Sen. Obama as a "job killing machine." Interesting, because I'm pretty sure there is someone who is a "friend of business" and "low taxes" in the White House now. How's that job growth going?

Funny

Dick Polman makes an interesting point:
The span of time between candidate George H. W. Bush's "read my lips, no new taxes" pledge, and his subsequent decision as president to break his pledge by supporting new taxes, was approximately two years. John McCain has now managed to violate that same pledge in just 20 days.

If you read the article, the pledge more specifically referred to Barack Obama's plan to raise the amount of your income that gets taxed for Social Security purposes. John McCain is normally against that, except when he is open to it. Seriously, I don't think John McCain even knows his own platform, as you can see in this video.
