Ahhhhhh! It's killing me! Who's going to be Sen. Obama's VP? Mark Halperin is reporting that Senators Bayh and Biden are speaking on Wednesday (VP day) along with Gov. Richardson. I need more details!

A little sadness

I'm sad to see that Gov. Brian Schweitzer will be speaking on Tuesday. There go my secret hopes for an Arabic-speaking Vice Presidential nominee. Oh well, there's still hope for someone fluent in Spanish.

Obama's VP?

I am so excited that Sen. Obama is announcing his Vice President choice over a text message/email. What a smart way to A) get people to sign up for your email address and B) keep the whole thing an absolute secret until the very last second. This way you announce it and people run lots of stock footage of the Vice Presidential candidate and then you have a "first Event" together and get roadblocked cable news coverage.

My prediction: Bill Richardson

I love the choice of Bill Richardson for every reason mentioned in this Denver Post Editorial. I don't understand why he doesn't have more buzz - I guess because he's Latino. But I love the idea, and I think it would go really well with Sen. Obama's message.

My first thought when I read that Gov. Richardson was holding two fundraisers for Sen. Clinton was that they were trying to make Gov. Richardson more acceptable to her die hard supporters. Wouldn't it be the perfect place to announce him as VP? I mean, nothing says UNITY more! I don't hear him mentioned at all, but I would love an Obama/Richardson ticket just as much as an Obama/Schweitzer ticket.
