Elizabeth Edwards will be able to speak truth to power at the Democratic Convention about the need for Universal Health Care and John McCain won't be able to say squat against her. She not only has terminal cancer, but is the "cheated on" wife of a major adultery scandal.

So far between this and the Clinton delegate voting controversy, the Democratic Convention is turning into a major media Event. Just like the Obama team wants it. By contrast, the big "news" at the Republican National Convention revolves around Vice President Cheney. I like that comparison.

Cheney at the Convention?

According to Mark Halperin, our illustrious Vice President will actually attend his own Republican Convention. And here I thought their "famous hatred" of John McCain would mean that he couldn't make it.

Even if the Republicans can try to hide the VICE PRESIDENT of the US in a closet during their convention, I'm sure the American people won't forget whose actually in charge of this country right now.

McCain's focus being almost exclusively on attracting independents and women to the polls, it's not a surprise that engaging Cheney isn't on the top of his list.

I wonder why it would HURT McCain's chances to be associated with the FELLOW REPUBLICANS in his PARTY, you know THE PARTY THAT RAN OUR COUNTRY INTO THE GROUND!

Olmert resigns

So Prime Minester Ehud Olmert of Israel is resigning due to his involvement in a bribery scandal. What crime would it take for Bush/Cheney to do the same?
